We take recycling seriously. Since the beginning of the pandemic, global disposable consumption has been out of control. Here at Renaissance, we recycle all the following:

We work with the Green Salon collective, who are industry leaders. Since June 2020, we are proud to have played our part in the following being diverted from landfill:

2.3 tonnes of metal
173 kilos of PPE and plastics
228 litres of chemicals
We offer gender-neutral pricing, have a no-judgment policy and welcome staff and customers from all backgrounds and abilities. We have disabled access and can offer plant-based alternatives so that all needs are catered for. We work hard to ensure everyone we welcome through our doors feels safe, respected and listened to.

We pride ourselves on the fact our staff are paid and treated fairly, continually nourished in their development, and fully supported within the Renaissance family.
We are also active in the community, raising awareness and money for charity. We use our salon as a donation point for the Food Aid network.
Our manager, Lynsey, raised £3,345.00 for Mind running the London Marathon
We have raised £876.00 for breast cancer charities through in-salon events
This year, we are raising awareness once more for another charity, Candlelighters.

We love the environment just as much as we love hair, and we pride ourselves on eco-friendly ethics at our hair salon in Leeds. We are always looking for new and exciting ways to do more, and to help and protect our planet. We recently began using 100% biodegradable towels. These are not only better for the environment, but they are also more hygienic for clients.
As well as cutting down energy consumption by not having to be washed and dried, they also allow our staff to dedicate more time to every single one of our customers. We recycle our empty product packaging, either by creating imaginative window displays or simply refilling them. We select each product supplier based on their environmental stance and ethos.
We light our hair salon in Leeds with energy saving bulbs and we are mindful of water consumption. We have also recently installed eco-friendly water taps onto our basins which filter and, once again, cut down on our water usage.
Salon Shower Pro
Water is in short demand. It’s a global problem!
You may have read about water shortages in the South this year. Thankfully, the British weather is doing its best to rectify that. The hairdressing industry is finally awake to the fact that we can now make use of water far more effectively, ergonomically and ecologically too.
Salon Shower Pro is a new hair salon shower head that reduces the amount of water we use but, at the same time, increases the pressure we rinse at. The specially designed head creates a build-up of water, which is forced out of a pressure plate to create a spa shower effect.
But that’s not all.
As the water enters the head, it goes through a four-filter process to eliminate nasties like limescale, copper and rust deposits. It even eliminates up to 70% of residual chlorine, a killer for cosmetic hair colour. This leaves hair texture looking far more natural and it is better for us to work with.

A deposit of £25.00 is required 72 hours prior to your appointment to confirm your booking. If no deposit has been made, it is within our rights to cancel your appointment. All cancellations must be made up to 72 hours prior to your appointment to receive a refund of your deposit or to transfer it over to another date.
Any cancellations after this time will not be refunded.
You must have a colour allergy test 48 hours before your appointment or have had colour treatment in this salon in the last 6 months.
If you have tested positive for Covid-19 or have any symptoms, you can transfer your deposit to a later date. If you have had Covid-19 or the vaccine, a new allergy test is required. If your allergy test is not up to date, your appointment will be cancelled, and your deposit will not be refunded.
